Kara Higgins is an artist who lives in Sherborne, Dorset.

Her inspiration originates in the town and countryside around her, strolling through the golden streets, hiking across the fields or walking the South West Coast Path.

In these beautiful places she waits for a decisive moment when the sunlight and shadows combine to create beauty. She is always looking for that unique vibrance, an instant she can capture in a photograph.

Back in her studio she reflects on her experiences and develops her paintings by hand through a painstaking digital process.

The final work is created as a Giclee print on textured paper - a premium quality, archival, heavy-gauge etching paper imported from Germany. This material gives her works incredible luminosity and depth of colour.

Lastly Kara produces a bespoke handmade frame to mount each work. Artworks are also sold as unframed prints.
